Is facebook mobile free and is receiving the notifications free too?
My service provider is fido, and I use prepaid. I also don't have connection to internet on my phone. Is facebook mobile free and is receiving the notifications free too?

Yes, sending pictures and posting notes from your phone onto Facebook is free. Notifications are free as well, if you're on the computer. I'm not sure if there are service charges though, however, if you're talking about receiving notifications on your phone.

Anything sent from Facebook to your phone via Facebook is free. The only thing that you'd have to worry about is service fees for receiving texts about notifications. Also, I don't think Fido is not a service Facebook will "work" with.

Facebook does not charge anything to use the mobile service.. the only thing you have to keep track of is you sending text messages/picture messages TO them, as your service provider will most likely charge you the outgoing messages, and some (i'm not sure about Fido) will also charge for the incoming messages... but this isn't being charged for facebook mobile, just the regular charges for sending/recieving to anybody.

Fido (owned by Rogers) does work with Facebook mobile.
It's free to recieve messages. Standard SMS texting rates apply for sending text messages to update your status/send a message/write on a wall etc. Standard MMS rates apply when sending picture messages to facebook. Facebook and Fido do not charge any "service fees" (ie. neither charge you to have Facebook Mobile, you only get charged the texting fees) |
