How do I hide my facebook from my parents?
My parents are strict about me having a facebook but I really want one. I want a facebook because all my friends have it and I think that this is a great way to communicate with my friends. How do I keep a facebook without letting my parents know?
*My friends' parents also have a facebook and they're close to my parents. Ads |

don't hide it, you can get into deep trouble if they find out.
just ask them if you can because it's a great way to keep in touch with all ur friends and they can just see and keep track of whom you talk to since they have a fb too. good luck hope they loosen up (: Ads |

Try going to Privacy Settings under My Account
Make sure people can't search for you and people can't see your friends list. PS:Not that I care a whole lot, but what's wrong with your parents seeing what you're doing? Are you trying to hide something? Keep in mind you still live under their roof and still eat their food, they have certain rights to what you do.... |

You shouldnt hide it from your parents, but use a nickname unrelated to your real name. If your friend and her parents are interconnected on the facebook website, tell her to disconnect from her parents facebook page or dont "friend" your friend, because her parents could check out her page and see you... I suppose you could keep it private and only "friend" close friends, but some parents will make a detective account to find their kids, so "friend" wisely.

if you cant convince them, just start a facebook and dont tell them. dont go on facebook when there around. unless they look through your online browsing history it shouldn't be a problem.

The answer there is it is really unlikely. And why would your mom ban FB from you? It's a great way to communicate with friends or even find new friends through friends. You can make your FB account private so that only your friends can see your pictures/messages etc. but you're name will still pop up if someone searches you, so just tell your mom that you can make it private and can control who can see your photos etc. If not then all I have is, maybe if you make a nickname for yourself, like if your name was Melissa then it could be Lissa or Mell, and when someone adds you on FB they will know who you are, but you still have your nickname as your FB account, so that your parents won't know who it is. Or just basically make a not too obvious one like in BRATZ (lol xD) Like Yasmine was Pretty Princess, but try to make it sound cool because your friends and the people you add or add you as friends on facebook will see. Hope I helped! Good luck, but I think it's better to just talk it through with your mom

just sign-up another account with different name on it and don't tell them the new account. I think it can work for you.
