"#" and "@" Before Domain Names on "American Idol"?
As I watch "American Idol," after a contestant has performed a song, they show the contestants name along with a domain name that begins with @; e.g., after Jessica Sanchez performed, it shows her name and "@JSanchezAI11" behind the screen. Usually domain names that start with "@" is for a person or group's Facebook page and "#" indicates a Twitter page (e.g., "#Idol" is the show's Twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/idol), but whenever I see the performers' domain name on "Idol" starting with "@," such as "@JSanchezAI11," does that mean to go to his or her Facebook page?

@ is their twitter username
the # is just a hashtag for twitter. So you can tweet along with the show and whoever is watching it. Ads |
