Sahara is on Las Vegas Boulevard but 3km north of the crowded strip. I wouldn't walk from the hotel. Take a taxi to maybe Treasure Island and walk the strip south from there.

Saraha Hotel is one of the oldest and dirtiest on the strip. It is not close to the central strip area, and is not a safe walk at night. I don't recommend it at all if you are wanting to be near the center. Look at Flamingo, they have decent rates and are dead center to every thing. Of the lower end hotels, I would recommend it and I've stayed there. Some rates are as low as $35/night. Just sign up to get their e-mail alerts from all the properties to compare rates, but RUN AWAY from the Saraha Hotel. All hotels are having price wars and even during the summer, I have seen rates at The Mirage as low as $45/night. Just go to the casino's website and sign up to receive e-mails with special rates and join their Facebook pages, some rates are exclusive to Facebook Fans only.
The Outlets are on the North side of the strip closer to Downtown Fremont Street. You can take the Deuce or a cab for a decent rate if you are not renting a car. Cheap clothes depends on what you are wanting to spend. Most foreigners come to America and stock up on clothes because compared to prices elsewhere, you will find American prices that we consider too high, very affordable. So the term "cheap" is relative to how much you are wanting to spend. |
