what would be the easiest way to find my brother who was adopted?
my brother was adopted after I was born, Apparently it was an open adoption but my mother passed away last year and didnt get enough info from her. I have 3 pics of him when he was a baby, his birthdate, and name. I also know where he was born but the hospital is not there anymore. He is like 20 so Im not sure if he is off at college or in the military or anuthing. Can you help please.

Did you try facebook, the white pages, or googling his name? This might help and also put this question over in the adoption section for more advice.

In genealogy, we research our ancestors not living people but sometimes you can find people on Facebook and MySpace. If that fails try:
http://find.person.superpages.com/ http://www.anywho.com/ http://www.zabasearch.com/ If they own property or have recently sold property, some states property tax records are online and a few states have probate records online. You will be able to find little else online. There are companies that specialize in background checks to screen potential employees for companies that could be helpful in locating someone or you could hire a private detective. |

There is no "easy" to locate people after an adoption. If it was actually an open adoption, there the records are available to the public. There are several sites that are dedicated to locating the biological families of people who were adopted. I would suggest that you try one of them.
