What's the best way to learn Portuguese?
Next year when I graduate I'm traveling to brazil. Obviously before I go I need to learn how to speak Portuguese! I heard the best way to learn a language is to go to a different place an it will slowly come to you. I would like to know the grammar and accent before I go. Please help!

It really depends on your learning style. Some people prefer one on one teaching, or classrooms, or even online courses. Because I wanted something a little more flexible, I opted for an online course. I could take the lessons from home, or in my lunchbreak, or even while commuting to work. I used the Rocket French course, made by Rocket Languages. I believe they have a Rocket Portuguese course too. There's lots of lessons including audio, grammar and games, and was really good value for money IMHO.
Have a great time in Brazil! |

1. Have motivation
2. Practice with friends in person or via Skype 3. Go to language meetup groups 4. Put FB/Twitter/Youtube etc. in Portuguese 5. Watch movies/programs/listen to music in Portuguese 6. Practice practice practice!! Repeat these until you feel fluent in Portuguese (the Brazilian version) Boa suerte! |
