How does twitter find real celebrities?
I mean maybe someone fake (not celebrity) make an account and try to tweet wrong news about him/her; so how twitter control this and how they prove themselves (that they are the real one) ?
Do celebrities have any special account or they make their accounts like normal users(when they want to sign up)? Thanks! Ads |

Twitter asks the celebrity for permission to confirm their identity with their agent.

Twitter calls the celebrity, asking them if that is their real account. If it isn't, it usually gets deleted. You can tell if the account is real or not because most of the real ones have a special blue check mark that Twitter puts on their profile, saying they're verified. But beware, not all celebrities have them yet.
