iPhone 4S data usage?
I've had an iPhone 4S for 3 weeks now. I have unlimited texting, plus a 500 megabyte (I think) plan. I was under the assumption that using apps, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram wouldn't make my data usage go up. I got a text from Bell Aliant last night, saying I used 90% of my data usage and it is another $1.10 every time I use a gigabyte up.. Help please? My mother won't pay an extra 15 bucks for a higher data plan.
PS, I DON'T HAVE WIFI AT HOME. I'm only 17, Ads |

Better up your plan. I don't know who told you that FB and all that does not use up data cause that's what the data plan is for, FB, Twitter, browsing, apps, games etc. You are going to get a huge bill, will your mom pay that? Get a job and pay for the higher plan.

You can check your usage in... Settings>General>Usage>scroll to the bottom were it says Cellular Statistics. Using ANY apps when your not in Wi-Fi will cause data usage. In your case since you have no Wi-Fi, you have no choice, every time you access an app, it will take data usage.
