Go to http://www.google.com and type your name in the box and search. I did it before and found an article from when I was in Iraq.

Googling yourself is known as "ego-surf" . Addict-o-matic can help you find occurrences of your name across a much larger web and that too, very quickly.
Addict-o-matic pulls search results for your name from all major sites like Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Digg, Bloglines, YouTube, Flickr, del.icio.us etc. You can then arrange these search boxes via drag-n-drop just like iGoogle or Netvibes. And once you’re happy with the layout, save that URL as a bookmark to access that custom view later - no registration is required. addictomatic.com Another method of doing this is as follows Step 1: Goto Google Advanced Search and select “past 24 hours†in the date field. This will filter all web pages from Google search results that were indexed more than 24 hours ago. Step 2: Type your names enclosed in quotes in the search box - also include any common misspellings separated by the OR operator. (e.g. - “javin hussin†OR “javiin husin†OR “javien hussinâ€). Hit Enter. Step 3: Copy the Google URL in the address bar and paste that into the search box at Page2RSS.com. This will create an RSS feed of your search results that you can subscribe via email or in any news reader. You will no longer have to type your name in Google every morning - if there’s a new web page that mentions your own name or your company’s name, it will be pushed to your inbox (or RSS reader) automatically. |
