Proving the origin of a twitter message?
Does a twitter message have a code that proves where it originated?

I'm unaware of any method employed to check the identity of any individual who decides to buy a PAYG phone (or PC) & open a twitter account, so would not be at all surprised to hear that many people had more than one 'persona' (all stuffed with invented details) ...
Indeed, I hear of many 'famous' people complaining of impersonators on 'twitter' and stories of account 'theft' (hijacking) are rife ... I've even hear of suggestions that twitter accounts are bought & sold (along with SIMM cards and (stolen) phones) So, even if you could prove what account (PC or phone) actually originated the message, I would like to bet that there is no way on earth of establishing the identity of the real person behind the account ..
