What is the best way for independent bands to promote themself online?
Besides MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter, what other sites would be useful?

a lot of bands and movie makers are promoting themselves using QR Codes. it creates attention and awareness. people get curious when they see a qr code. if you're not sure what a QR Code is, check the link below. basically, the code leads mobile phone users to your music online and they can easily share it with friends and stuff like that. and you can literally print the qr codes to your music anywhere you want, including your myspace or facebook or blog site.
most importantly, it makes you stand out as a band because not a lot of other bands are using it right now. people are gonna stand up and remember you. :-) good luck! |
