There is nothing wrong with marketing. And accounting is not necessarily a "safe" field. Accounting is the most demanding major in a business school and is suitable only for the best students. Average students don't make it, and if they do get by with average grades, they don't get the good job offers.

Marketing is a broad field that can range from from someone who writes/plans/manages advertising campaigns to someone whose job is to actively meet with/impress clients every day in person, or something totally different from both.
Easiness is really relative. I would say marketing looks pretty "hard" if you're not a social person and prefer to work alone all day, but you're not going to be taking any "hard" classes for the degree. Letters grades never tell the story in creative fields. "Graduates are creative and forward-thinking, understand the power of media in all its forms, and are skilled communicators and team players," ll of which can lead not only to careers in marketing, but in industries and sectors as diverse as retail, fashion, manufacturing, financial and public services, leisure and tourism, Âconsumer goods, music, electronics and so on. "Public relations, sales, brand management, advertising and general management are all careers where the analytical and problem-solving skills of marketing graduates will be welcomed, Speaking of Accounting : Depends if you are good in maths. My younger brother has just graduated in accounting and he found it to be challenging, but because he enjoyed it he excelled in it. My suggestion for you is to find the field that you are looking for first, I started out in engineering and found that that wasn't the field for me. I soon found that business school felt right for me and as I continued I found that I enjoyed the Human Resource work that I was doing and wanted to make it a career . As an accountant, you will be doing auditing, looking for fraud. You may be doing tax returns, consolidating balance sheets for non controlling interests. At the end of the day I am a believer of Cynicism. |
