I heard there is a new virus on Facebook: what is it?
I heard in my class today that there is a new Facebook virus going on. Is that true, and if so, how do I avoid it? Thanks

"Facebook users are being warned to look out for a new virus that could give hackers access to credit card numbers and other personal information.
The so-called “Koobface Virus†is targeting the social networking site's 120 million users. The virus directs users to a site where they are asked to download what appears to be an update of Adobe System's Flash Player. Once a computer is infected, it spreads the virus by sending messages to that person's friends. Facebook says so far the virus has affected only a small percentage of users." So basically.. don't download any "Flash Player" updates and you should be okay. Like the article says, very few were infected so you shouldn't really worry. =D |
