Has Social Media sites taken free speech too far?
By social media I mean any site like yahoo answers, facebook, livejournal, etc etc etc the list goes on.

What free speech are you referring to? Here on Yahoo? I get violations for all sorts of unknowable reasons. In one case recently when I actually thought I was being nice, someone got upset and the notice was sent out to me.
I think that in today's world the people who understand what "free speech" means are the protesters in places like Syria where to merely gather in protest and shout slogans could cost you your life. On the internet it is anonymous, safe and hardly original. You will not get killed for b.s. |
