Why won't my wireless router work on facebook?
For the last 24 hours we have been unable to connect with facebook on any of our computers. All other sites work and we can connect to facebook if we connect the computers directly to the cable modem.
We are the parents, it wasn't blocked by us. Ads |

Your parents probably bloked it.

Interesting, we've had the same problem. Can connect to facebook when the computers are directly connected to the modem but cannot connect through the router. We hard reset the entire wireless router, reset our IP address from Comcast, and are still getting the same issue.
What kind of router are you using? |

IF you have a Belkin Router you will not be able to access Facebook, unless your computer is connected directly to the router. They are requiring payment for new software updates! I have been through many different avenues today trying to figure out what the problem is. My internet provider said several customers are having this problem who own Belkin routers. Apparently if you can get into the router's control panel and disable the router's firewall it may help, as you do not need the router's firewall since you already may have it with Microsoft or Norton.
Trying this when my hubby gets home. I think I have already jacked things up enough for one day! Regards ~Lisa |
