Computer started flashing colors?
I pluged in my computer and it started showing colors, kindof like when a tv is on with no signal, but more colorful. I started pressing stuff like ctrl+alt+delete and the off button. After about 20 seconds it stoped and when I turned my computer on again it started normaly, but with the "do you want to run your computer in safe mode" option. All I know is that I pluged my computer in. My brother and sister were by the computer at the time, but they said they didn't do anything and I belive them.
My computer is a dell laptop runs on windows 7 I got it in August. WHAT HAPPEND AND WILL IT HAPPEN AGAIN? Ads |

they did something wrong and ask them what they did in the computer.
. Your screen reselution may be wrong. Change it to it native settings. 2. Your monitor's refresh rate is noticeable. Change the refresh rate to a low number hat you are comfortable with (WARNING!: a refresh rate below 75Hz can cause eyestrain). If those dont work than contact tech support. Ads |

Hello Maria,
My name is Krishna and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Based on the above symptoms, It's more likely that you have a bad video card or corrupted video drivers. Try running the hardware diagnostics and see if it shows any errors. You can follow the instructions from http://dell.to/dU0fpw If the tests come out clean, then you can perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the link below and see if it helps. http://support.dell.com/support/topics/g...cid=266529 Regards, Dell-Kris K Dell Social Media and Communities |

Hook it up to an external monitor and see if it happens again - it might be the laptop screen, it might be the graphics card, or it might be a momentary glitch.
If it shows up on the external monitor - it could be the graphics card. If it doesn't, then it could be the laptop's screen. If it doesn't show up again for months...it could be a momentary glitch or you could try updating the driver, in case that got corrupted. |
