I'm just wondering, because I'm Jewish myself and I'm always pleased to see Jewish authors score big success. The last name Roth suggests she might be.

You could check out her Facebook page or website or other social mediums.
I've glanced around her Facebook, Twitter, and blogs. I haven't seen any information to suggest she is Jewish (unless being from Chicago counts because of the significant Jewish population there). She offers ways to contact her "directly", so if you don't find anything, you could ask her personally. And Sara, there is nothing more annoying than unfounded antagonistic contemptuous comments such as yours. You offer no explanation or reasoning behind why you believe the asker sounds annoying, and "what can be asserted without proof, can be dismissed without truth". I also believe you are Anti-Semetic. I have my reasons, and I'm willing to share them. Okay, that's it. I'm reporting your answers. Ads |

"Roth" is German for "Red" ("Th" was changed into "t" by the 2nd reform of spelling of the German language in 1892). The book does not play in any camp - therefore she is not supposed to be Jewish.
