How do I get rid of my Facebook addiction?
I have a Facebook addiction. I basically have the tendency to just sit there and constantly check it. It also affects me mentally.

I really want to get rid of this habit. I want to keep the Facebook because it's a great way to keep in touch with my old high school friends and current college friends. But I admit, I am constantly thinking of who is writing statuses and such and just feel a need to check it.

I have considered just blocking it for 3 days at a time and checking once every three days until I can control this habit.

What do you think? Will this work? Is there a better way?

Try to start it small. Try not checking it for a hour few times a day, then few hours. After a while start to skip days. Facebook can be addictive to young people, but its not really important, maybe you should find activities what will give u opportunity to find new people.

Deactivate your Facebook account.
Never log in, ever again.
Do something else instead.

Done.
