How do people notice messages that go to their "Other" Folder on Facebook?

How do people notice messages that go to their "Other" Folder on Facebook?
Is there a notification of some sort - like maybe a number in parentheses right next to the "Other" word?

There is no notification in other folder when new messages receives.

There are no notifications for other folders. We need to check ourselves for the new messages.

When some one text you a massage but he/she not in your friend list then facebook privacy system not allow this message as direct to you, its held on "Other" folder.
