It will work for the uber rich capitalists in the US and the workers in China. It sucks for everyone else.

It would, because the wealthy would not be able to pass laws to keep everyone from becoming wealthy. They would not have control over the structures of power that bit by bit diminish the means and the will to succeed.

Yes, because free markets are much more efficient and rewarding to the people than the government could ever be. However, Ron Paul, while pretty good on most of his stances, won't get elected. He's weak on foreign policy. He's an isolationist.

If Ron Paul gets his way, the US will go brankrupt almost overnight.
He wants to abolish the IRS. Without this agency, the federal government will no longer be able to perform the act of collecting revenues. Social programs won't matter. |

Did it work in 1929? If your answer is yes, then you're deluded enough to vote for him. If your answer is no, then you shouldn't vote for him or for any other Republican.

I think so. Free markets drive down prices, which make goods more affordable. At the same time without social welfare taxes are less, which results in EVERYBODY having more money. Some will spend it on consumer goods, some will invest it. Those who invest will need to hire more workers, which results in more people having more money. And the consumers will drive the investors to keep expanding, until an equilibrium is hit, of course. But a free market will result in plenty for everybody, unless you simply don't want to work for it. That's your choice, but if you so choose then you have no right to take from me at the barrel of a gun using taxation. And for the truly unfortunate there will always be private charities to help them through difficult times. These will be funded, of course, by the people employed and with extra money to donate thanks to the free market. Everyone wins. Except those with an entitlement mentality, of course. This is a grossly simplified version of the factors at play, of course, but it serves to illustrate the logic behind his stances.
