ugh I am torn
I hate the seahawks with all my passion but if they win...hey, our team lost to the eventual champs...for the third straight season but if they win, i gotta listen to their fans taunt me all of next year about how they are better... Ads |

Go For The Broncos On This One, Going For The Seahawks Is Unethical Being A 49ers Fan.

Do what make you happiest, it's a sport and treat it for what it is.
Learn to tune out the meaningless chatter and just realize these fans are supporting their fans in the same way other fans support their teams through social media today. It gets even worse when two rival teams fans start the trash talking as they all too often tend to go way overboard, especially since the inception of social media. The anonymous nature of this form of communication has bread a new level of antisocial behavior in people that hide in the shadows of the anonymity offered by social media. The negative impact of social media on the behavior of society is very unsettling. While it would be going a bit far at this point to assume that social media is evil in and of itself, we might be correct in saying that the misuse of it does make it bad. For instance, there is the tendency to conform to whatever one believes to be popular while never considering whether it's right or wrong; this is often the case noted in today's fastest form of crime, cyberbullying. It's much easier for people to verbally abuse each other online than it is in person. Again that feeling of security found in the anonymity of the internet allows people to feel free to act with malice and without retribution. You have recognized the bad side of this form of interaction and I hope others who are reading this find themselves reevaluating their participation in any forms of cyber hounding. Sportsmanship must include the fans and that must be extended to the internet too. |

As a Seahawks fan, I know if the Niners had beaten the Seahawks, I'd be pulling for the Broncos. The last thing you want to see is your arch nemesis hoisting the hardware over you.

Personally I would never cheer for the team I follow arch rival.
I have been a Denver fan for 50+ years having been born and raised in Denver. If KC, Oakland, or SD would make it to the Super Bowl I would not, could not cheer for them to win. |

You should root for the Seattle Seahawks because they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8, in Super Bowl XLVIII: http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=340202007
