Is it okay to ignore this?
My ex and I broke up. He's saying things about me on social media. I've ignored it, mainly because I saw him in person and he acted like a coward. So I know he won't say anything to me in person, but he won't stop with the crap talking on social media. My mom is pretty bad and wanted me to do something, but I see no point. I only care because I don't want my name to be ruined, he had the guts to say my name on his posts

Depending on what he is saying, you may be able to get him for harassment. If he is telling lies and things to deliberately try to ruin your name, I would definitely do something.

I'd confront him, face to face, straight out. No pussyfooting around.
Preferably in front of his boys, so they can see what a wussbag he is. |

He is too chicken to say it in person, and won't say anything to you about it...why don't you just get on that social media website and send him a private message. Don't jump down his throat, just try to rise above his mess and plainly ask "Uh, why are you doing this Joe? Don't you think it is a little immature?" It is also pathetic, if you want to add that in there. He sounds like a real knuckle-dragger lol.

I would ignore it and him completely. If some people choose to believe his lies, they weren't your friend in the first place. Your real friends will know the truth. Don't feed the troll.
