When people stop using it. Can't see that happening anytime in the near future.

They have done a good job of making it useful and almost needed in society (e.g. my sister receives her work roster via Facebook and many companies purely advertise via Facebook) people aren't going to just change to another social media site when they have one that's so effective and relied upon. I don't think it will be going for a very long time.
Although, if Google plays their cards right and take advantage of all the power they currently have on the internet Google+ could take over soonish. |

WTF!? First of all, Facebook cannot possibly 'die' as it is a non-living thing. Secondly WHY do you want Facebook to stop operating? And I don't think Facebook will ever 'die' because it is the most popular social networking site in the world with over 800 million users and growing.

It wont. Back in the days theire were lots of social netwoks dying like myspace and stuff. But that was still when those things were new. But now everyone knows about the interne an how to use it. and most companies even use facebook. Man even obama has a facebook page. pls faceboolk keeps evolving with new stuff so i doubt it will die anytime soon.

You mean it hasn't yet? Every day we hear about news-related info about Facebook. First, it's privacy issues. Then, it's falling stock prices. You remember the original purpose of this social media website, right? It was to stay in contact with people - friends and family members.
What has happened since? Users are tired of Facebook. The supposed 800 million users include a significant percentage of fake users, including non-humans. (Seriously, why does a non-human organism need a Facebook page?) Now businesses are using it as a form of free advertisements. Every tv and radio commercial ends with, "...like us on Facebook." Why do I need to like a fast food restaurant chain? Sure I might get coupons, but again, it's all for the advertising. And what about all of the "personal problems" caused by people posting all sorts of private information on a public website? So, when will Facebook die? Hopefully right now. We don't need it anymore. |
