How do I let go of a mistake?
So about a year ago I signed up on Okcupid pretending to be ninenteen when I was really fifteen. I ended up going on a date with a nineteen year old guy after we chatted and he friended me on facebook. Anyways the date went fine and we hooked up but then I avoided talking to him for a while and it faded out. I deleted my profile on Okcupid and blocked him on facebook. But it always haunts me. Like I'm always worreid I'm going to run into him, or someone I know will find out I made an online dating account. How do I stop worrying about this and move on?

its guilt. its like a low level guilt. i've done it. its like murder except less guilt. you're never gonna get over it until you get a punishment or in your case it doesn't deserve a punishment so just tell a friend which is what i did then you guys might talk about it a bit and your friend should understand why you did it and then you will move on to a different conversation most likely and eventually the thought will go away.

It's not something you NEED to worry about. Just... Let go? I geuss is the easiest way to put it. If you ever bump in to him... Don't be rude but maybe don't engage in conversation to much? And why or how would it matter if people found out you had an online dating profile? Just take a minute and relax it's all good! Hope this helped a bit... Good luck!

I stopped using okc a few weeks ago after one too many awkward dates lol. My coworker showed me cliqie.com and I’m a big fan of that over the others in terms of actually meeting people vs. just entertainment. It has a different approach that feels less sketchy cause you and your friends essentially act as “wingmenâ€. I like that it helps you find things to do too. Skout’s okay too, but still has it’s fair share of creepers
