If it is them, then it doesn't sound like an altogether healthy way for them to be getting back in touch with you.
If it truly is a friend, then it's a little weird for them to just start a conversation like that, I agree. You could always give the friend your email address and say that the ex could contact you through that. But it is important to remember that you are ex's for a reason. Whatever that reason is, it meant enough at the time for things to end. Sounds like a right awkward situation though, I don't envy you. Try not to get too ahead of yourself. When in doubt try to talk to your ex in person and ask her for the truth-whether she's been on that girls Facebook trying to talk to you or not. If you talk to her in person you could maybe be able to tell if she's lying and even if she still might be into you. Even though you might miss her, really really think about your relationship because if you were sad and she was mean to you, don't go back! Hope this all works out ok!
