social media and rivalries in NHL?
do you think that social media has helped to take nhl rivalries to a different level? i say it has because back then fans couldnt argue with a fan from another team unless it was in person. now that social media is here its like thats all see on youtube/facebook/bleacher report etc is all of the fans fighting with the other teams fan. i mean i love it because i love talking trash
i am a pens fan and i yes i know were are losing 0-3 but just answer the question in general Ads |

I think social media has really ruined rivalries. It used to be that you "left it on the ice". Now you can take shots at opposing teams on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, not to mention in the media. Social media has made cheap shots extremely easy and unpunishable. That's just my opinion, though. Having grown up in an age without social media I am, in most cases, 100% against the current state of social interaction.

That's a good question. It doesn't real change the rivalries for the players, since they don't argue with each other through Twitter or Facebook for the most part. I think it makes the rivalry more fun for the fans, because everyone loves trolling on their rivals Facebook page, right?

It will exemplify how b*tchy and hypocritical the pens are tomorrow morning. That should help the rivalry.
PS: How's your hero Malkin? Is the 19 year old too good for him? How about your little b*tch crosby? Hasn't He started enough fights that he can't finish? |
