There are more child predators on Myspace....haha
Actually Myspace is working with the govt to alleviate the problem though. It will be more difficult for underage kids to create a page without parental approval or something similar. |

The interface is a bit different, also facebook has a ton of random applications that dont make alot of sense, but people like that stuff i guess.
Hope this helps Also i believe both the site actually started off as college sites. |

Facebook is more network specific and seems to be more secure. You can set it so everyone can see you, just your network or just your friend. Also, Facebook allows you to limit spam (from friends and advertisement) by denying users to different features.
Myspace is more HTML oriented, which means that the user can get his or her page to do whatever they want it to do. There is more restrictions in Facebook and less customization. Another feature Facebook has is applications. This is a way to have more fun on Facebook but also exposes you to more advertising (usually the application is run as an advertisement or it has it in it) |

MySpace allows you to have CSS in your profile, so you can make it look how you want.
Facebook has applications (although MySpace is adding this soon), and better privacy options. That's about it - they keep copying from each other, so there's really nothing else one does that the other doesn't. I personally prefer Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ), it has the best of both, and a lot of features not on either (banner creation, ValidateID, people to have visited your profile, sweet-looking profiles). |
