I lied about having a boyfriend????

I told my friends i was dating a boy from my church and even though he is real, we aren't dating. I have told my friends all sorts of dates weve been on and i think i might have accidentally fallen in love with him just by lying about his romantic gestures. (thats not really the problem but thats bad too). and i just told them we broke up because i didnt want to lie to them anymore. I was just on facebook and it happens that ONE OF MY FRIENDS(who i didnt tell about my fake relationship) IS NOW IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BOY I PRETENDED TO DATE!!!! i think she might tell the rest of my friends that im a liar. i already told one friend but she said she wont tell. im worried they might all hate me and that the boy might find out and our friendship will be weird. please help me. i dont think i can come clean because i told this to almost all my school friends and if i tell them i lied they will be mad and not hang out with me and tell the rest of my friends bad things about me. WHAT DO I DO????????

if they're true friends then they wouldn't be upset that you lied.

just Facebook or actually talk to the person who is dating him now. explain how it was immature and you will never do it again(well maybe never) . it is better to actually tell her your self instead, she will most likely understand, you are a girl and you feel the need to be accepted.

Pretend it was a joke. Come clean and say something like "I can't believe you guys fell for it and really thought we were dating. I thought it was obvious I was joking and you guys were just playing along. There never was anything between us" then laugh at how gullible they were, then apologize for joking with them

I know this is hard but you have to tell them the truth. If they're your friends, they will forgive you. It's hard to tell the truth but it's harder to not tell the truth...because you're deceiving your friends. If you wanna lie...i wrote a lot but nothing seems to be a good excuse. I've been through all this lying and telling the truth make me feel comfortable. One more thing: the girl code. Never like/love/date a guy who like/love/date another person. So don't like him anymore or you'll hurt yourself. I have. Tell the truth and be faithful with your friends is my advice.
