Is Yahoo Profiles just copying Facebook?
Now when I go to get my Yahoo Mail it wants me to connect with other people, most of which do not have Yahoo accounts. I don't see the point of further using Yahoo Profiles since Yahoo and Facebook have some kind of agreement already that allows My Yahoo page to display info from my Facebook account. Is there some sort of merger in the future I should prepare for? Is this just a marketing ploy? How many social networking profiles do I need? Why would I want to use Yahoo Profiles for networking instead of Facebook? I've had a Yahoo profile for years, no one ever connects to me with Yahoo 360 or Yahoo Profiles. What makes Yahoo think adding additional features to my Inbox will make me want to connect using Yahoo Profiles. It's just annoying. I want my email, not networking...that's why I already have a Facebook account.
Have you noticed that Yahoo's spell checker does not recognize words like Facebook and Inbox? Ads |

I like my anonymity on Y.A., my REAL whole name and normal E-mail address is kept secret.
We need to keep this information private, that way folks can give their REAL opinions for their answers. Facebook is a totally non-anonymous website. Both your real name and address are used. Ads |
