What are my chances of getting into Rutgers University (NB)?
I am currently a Junior in high school.
I am interested (but not certain) in majoring in English Language, History, and/or Theatre Arts. GPA: 3.7 or 3.8 AP/Honorary classes I have taken or will take: -10th grade Honors English -11th grade AP English -12th grade AP English -AP Statistics -AP World/European History Other classes relevant to my possible majors: -Global History -American History -Humanities/Human Rights & the Law -Intro to Theatre Arts -Advanced Theatre Studies (Independent Study) -Literature of Suspense -Media Aid (library work) -Debate -Speech -American Classic Novels & Short Stories -Film & Literature We just took the ACT, so we haven't received our scores yet... however, I am guessing I got somewhere in the range of 24-28 I have not taken the SAT yet. What score should I aim to get? Clubs/activities: -Drama Club (will be all 4 years of high school) -Writing club (3 years total) -Social Justice Project (2) -National Honors Society (2) -Key Club (1) -Library volunteer (2) I am out-of-state. I go to a school ranked in the top 10% for public high schools. 25% of our students have a GPA of at least 3.5, take at least 2 AP classes each semester, and are involved in at least 2 clubs. MANY students (surprisingly) have a GPA of 4.0 or higher. What are my chances?! Do I have a better chance enrolling at a local college, then transferring to Rutgers after a couple of years? ...or should I aim to go to Rutgers right out of high school? Thanks in advance! Ads |
