No internet access on laptop?

On my laptop it says that it's connected to the router but there's no internet access. At first I thought this would be a problem with the router or modem but on my phone, the internet is working. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, I have restarted my laptop multiple times and replugged the router and modem.

1) Are you sure that the phone is using your WiFi and not the cellular connection? Turn off cellular and see how it goes.

2) Check the status of your firewall and/or AV software. Those things are the most common non-malware causes.

3) Malware - run a full scan with your AV product after updating it with the latest definitions.
