I'm looking for a reasonable camera; is this one okay?
I'm looking to buy a camera; but I'm also on a very tight budget. (~$50) I understand that mega pixels are important, so are extra features like auto-focus, zoom, etc. And i was looking and I found this digital camera: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Brand-2-7-12...1c25314d02
I was wondering if it was worth the price, if it'd be more worth it to just spend a little bit more money to get a better one, etc. The uses of the camera would include nature, people, sometimes objects, etc. Photos would go on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for all the help! Ads |

you better spend a lil bit money and buy a better camera, better camera is always better, when you buy a cheap camera, youre taking a risk by bad quality . you will regret afterwards, so better spend a lil bit more. and after tht you can make gorgeous pics )

For $50, you will not find anything but junk.

Personally, I wuld stay away from this camera witha ten foot pole! It has no recognizable name, nor do they mention anything about the lens.
To purchase a camera that you will not regret buying 2 or 3 months down the road. Make sure it has a 5x optical zoom lens. A 3x optical zoom lens is useless and a waste of money in my opinion. If you are buying a current model then don't worry about the number of megapixels. Just be sure to always set the camera for the maximum resolution! Stick with names you have heard about: Canon, Pentax, Samsung, Even the Kodak brand would be better than this one illustrated. Good Luck! |

Brand Unknown
Must be some kind of Chinese knockoff I can highly suggest to buy real brands not these.. these.. cheap knockoffs. Megapixels are NOT important.. not if coupled with a cheap lens that made crappy fuzzy images. It is better to have a good sensor and only 12Mpixels combined with a GOOD lens. Then a piece of plastic that has to be a "lens" to a 18Mpixel sensor with technology out of 2004 I said it.. chinese copy culture doesn't cares about quality.. and most willingly will use 2004 technology that others left in the bin. A bit more money and maybe a nice Canon A series.. now we are talking. |

Megapixels is just the size of the picture. Autofocus is a standard feature on compact cameras. If it's not autofocus, it's focus-free. Either way, you don't need to meddle with focusing. Zoom if lacking can be walked instead. At $50, you practically get a toy camera (sorry, I didn't bother with the link). To get a better camera, spend more on it. Remember that in photography, you get exactly what you paid for.
