;You could get a popup blocker or try a different browser like Google Chrome or Firefox. Also run an Anti-Malware program and always clean out your cookies and browsing history after you are finished browsing.

I use AdBlock which really kept the advertisement down. Have it for Chrome but it's also available for other browsers.
