Is it OK to photograph people eating onm the Tube?

A trend is going around Facebook where women are being photographed, often without their knowledge, while eating on the Tube. Women who feel uncomfortable are being encouraged to contact the Police. What are your thoughts on this?? And would you eat on public transport? Ads |

Must be some pervy thing. I would eat a 3 course meal and have the other passengers hold the plates until I was ready for the next course.

Not good. People should take the photo's of these women and then afterwards tell them what they did and ask if it's OK to put them on Facebook. If the women say no then the photo should be deleted straight away. The problem with asking first is you are unlikely to get the money shot so to speak, as the 'participants' will become self-conscious.
And I eat gum & drink water on public transport, that's the extent of my indulgence. |

Not really but is it really necessary for people to eat on public transport. Other passengers have to endure the smell of greasy vinegar laden chips, kebabs, burgers and once I saw someone dipping into a smelly curry. Buses used to have a sign about not eating food on them but that seems to have been removed, probably because it contravenes 'human rights' or something.
The photos I have seen of the women caught eating show them eating food that contributes to them being overweight as none of them were fading away. |

You can take photo's and film (Nearly) whatever and whoever you like in a Public Area.
There's no Law against it. You have no rights to privacy in Public.... The only thing that's illegal is "Aggressive and Persistent" Photography, which constitutes "HARASSMENT", so unless these guys are following these Women around and shoving a camera in their face, there's nothing the Police can really do. Still.... the Weirdo's taking part in this "trend" are nothing more than Bullies, but then again, no one should be eating their dinner on Public Transport anyway |
