Why do people post a lot of photos of themselves on Instagram?

It seems that people want to make themselves appear like they are doing well and having loads of fun. Taking selfies and posting them on the web when you are stressed and financially drained gives others a false perception of their lives.

Because Instagram is for photos, so people probably post more photos.

I think this whole social media stuff have completely lost it. I mean, yeah I have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media profiles but I rarely contribute.

How the hell do people keep up when they are out socialising, people these days even carry a digital camera when they are clubbing or going out to eat.

I don't know if its me but I don't have the time to do all that stuff, I'm pretty much old school, I rather communicate with my friends in person rather than on social media.
