Ok, so I came up with a idea. Basically it's a stress relief ball with a mix of Beanie baby, with a few extras I can't tell. How do I proceed? I'm sure it's never been patented, but how.would.I check? It shouldnt cost but 2-3 dollars to make. I got $30 to spare no more no less. I just don't know what to do.

You can often get a free initial consultation with a local patent attorney. If you study up on the basics, so you don't waste everyone's time, you can focus the discussion on your invention and your options.
Some of your preliminary patentability searching can be done online (for free, or for a fee), i.e., finding out the state of the art for related inventions and whether yours is actually "new and non-obvious" as compared to everything ever previously used in public or disclosed in any publication anywhere in the world, and any obvious improvement, equivalent or combination of anything that already exists. Patenting things is expensive. Why not look to raise investment on sites like kickstarter.
You could produce 10 balls and sell them - that will tell you if the idea has potential as a business. |
