How do I remove Search Donkey from my computer?
I already uninstalled it through the control panel and I deleted the extension on google chrome also I cleared my cache and cookies but my computer still says it is running and Norton notifies me that i get attacks from search donkey. It doesn't show up in the uninstall list in control panel any more and it isn't an extension so can someone please help I don't want to risk another attack. Thanks for your help

Try to start your computer in safe mode (press F8 when computer starts) and do a full scan with your antivirus softwareor you can download Malwarebytes from their website and do a quick scan. After that you cand uninstall Malware.

It sounds that some remnants of the Search Donkey still remain on your computer. Check your web browser to make sure it is disabled, and search your disk to remove all of its leftovers.

Hello,
Sorry for the trouble. Can you please start the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and then run a scan using the free Norton Power Eraser tool: http://www.Norton.com/npe? Let me know if that helps! Thanks Vineeth Norton Support |
