Firefox Windows Updates IE?
I have used Firefox for years and when I install Windows Updates I always include everything for Internet Explorer as I read a while back that IE can include updates for the operating system. Is this correct and should I go ahead and update IE10 to IE11 (which is in the updates)?

Internet Explorer is a browser, nothing more. It doesn't have anything required for the OS.

Reguardless you should always have the most updated version of IE on your computer. It's more secure.Just not using it does not mean it malware can't get to it.Plus It's a good idea to have a back up browser on your computer.I think you might be surprise if you used IE.The new version is faster than firefox and chrome. In browser speed test for the first time in 5 years Chrome lost to IE.Firefox came in 4th.IE is also more secure than firefox. There's a reason firefox has lost market share for the last 3 years it's just not holding up well to the other browsers. 5 years ago just about everyone I knew used firefox, now only one person is still using.
