now that links are less important, and google empasizes on the amount of traffic a web is getting and how interesting a web is, will it be less important if you have a good or a bad domain, because some domains i've heard are better at seo

Google reps have commented a couple of times that they were "looking into" the unfair advantage that some exact match keyword name sites have had in the past. Buying the right aged domain with existing backlinks in auction can give a site a quick headstart.
Backlinks are still a huge factor, you just have to make a bigger effort to get quality links, since junk links once simply ignored by Google can now get you penalized. Ads |

It is easy to get rank on keyword rich domain name, but you will still need to do SEO depending upon the competition.
It is all depend upon competition, If competition is high, you will have to put more efforts If no competition, you will not need to do seo and you will rank on top But if there is no competition, there is no market |
