What does "kinda" mean in this case?
Okay so this person who I havn't really gotten along with in the summer and then didn't talk to in the last 2 months, i didn't concider them a friend anymore and she knows that. She posted on my facebook "Are you my friend: Kinda". what does kinda mean?

That she is confused, and she doesn't really know how you feel. Or she didn't want to say you wasn't friends, because of it being rude.

I would not take it as derogatory. I think she is just saying she knows you, but you two are not close as in Good friends.

It's like asking two questions in one:
First, she wants to know whether you're her friend. If not, then she wants to know whether you at least "kind of" like her, in other words, whether you are at least partially her friend. |
