How can I learn to make a social network?
I am SICK of dealing with bullshÂit from Facebook and YouTube. I am desperate enough to learn how to make my own site where I can share things and videos while "fans" or friends can still "communicate" by writing stuff like comments or anything. Just NO Facebook or YouTube. I may as well migrate from all of my current social networks like Twitter and stay on my own website.
I have a website already where I just use it as a download site. But I want to know how I can make my own place to blog or place videos because I am SICK of those services. They're free, and that's why they never help their users. They're not paid. So I'd rather make a service for my own personal use. Any suggestions where or how I can learn? Ads |

Since you provided no details on your hosting, we can't really give you a good answer. However if your host supports Wordpress then use that. Free and easy to use.

Those guys create the Social Network for you and advertise it, you just pay.
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-5-best-...-software/ You can download an open source one from http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-5-best-...-software/ And upload it via FTP on your web host. Or you can download either a Blog or a Forum software, and upload it into your web host via FTP. Web hosts are either free which give you limited bandwidth and limited website domain options, and there are paid Web hosts who offer maybe a bit more bandwidth with the domain of your choice if available. I recommend members.000webhost.com as a free Web host. I recommend Wordpress if you want a blog, my blog is powered by Wordpress http://blog.ufn.net16.net/ I recommend MyBB if you want a forum, my forum is powered by MyBB http://forums.ufn.net16.net/ |
