Is it just me or Apple apps are generally better than Android apps?
I've had an iPhone for several years, then recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S3 this past week. I notice that some of the Android apps aren't as good as the Apple apps. For example, Yelp doesn't show the review feeds from other Yelpers on Android. Another is Facebook. Apple Facebook gives you the option to see Top Stories or Most Recent, while Android doesn't have this feature. Apple apps, imo, look more professional than Android apps.
Those who have experienced both Apple and Android apps, thoughts and views? I love my Samsung Galaxy S3, but sometimes I miss my iPhone. Ads |

Try Google Voice Actions, or Google Maps. Voice Actions is better than Siri... and ask any iPhone 5 user about Apple's new maps. Those "revolutionary" new things like notifications? They were on the Android OS for years.
Apps are under the control of each developer. Google is competing with Facebook, so Facebook doesn't make the Android app their top priority, for example- it needs to work, because Android users would stop using Facebook, and that'd hurt their ad revenue... but it doesn't have to be awesome. The Android OS is newer than iOS and while Android's gathering more and more market share, it is slightly younger and hasn't had the focus by as many companies for as long. |
