What does this privacy setting on facebook mean?
Note: your name, profile picture, gender, networks and user ID (along with any other information you've set to everyone) is available to friends' applications unless you turn off platform applications and websites. and Control what information is available to applications and websites when your friends use them.

If you have privacy settings on then things like your photo's, information and video's will not be on display if an UN-added person is looking at your profile page. Only your display picture will show and a message saying "sorry this person does not allow the viewing of photo's... etc, unless added"
