Obviously they have access to your account. You just need to remove it.
There are two ways somebody else could get access to a Twitter account. First I would go to twitter.com => Settings => Connections and check every single connection that is listed there. For everything you don't need or are not sure of - click "Revoke Access". In this case you are especially looking for connections with "read and write access". Don't worry, you will be able to re-add them at any time, just use your common sense when doing so. The direct URL is: http://twitter.com/settings/connections And then, there is of course the possibility that they have your password. Just change it (even if you are pretty sure they don't, it can never hurt) and use the standard guidelines for the new password (make it difficult, like lower case, upper case, digits, special characters).
