Before I answer, you should know I'm pretty qualified to advise you on this enquiry. I was bullied myself when I was your age for the better part of two years, and what I'm about to tell you has helped kids that I know kick bullying in the ass. So if you really, and I mean really want to rise above the hate, you'll do well to listen to what I have to say. Hence:

I'm going to be blunt and hit you with some truth, because that's the best way I can help. What are you, 12, 13? None of this is going to matter two years from now when you're 14/15. Provided you're a nice enough guy and easy to get on with, in two years, all the immaturity will go away, and most of those guys will be your friends. In four years tops, no-one will even remember you were bullied in the first place. You'll be normal. I'm living proof.

Basically, my advice is what the adults all say to you, and it's what I failed to do when it was my turn , and that's why I'm real keen for you to pick it up now: ignore the teasing, put it out of your mind, and just leave them to it. In two years from now, they'll all realise how immature they were, and if you get that point of view into your head right now, you've got a great head start on becoming a man. just recognise that stuff going on now isn't going to mean a damn in your near-future, and you will be as cool as those guys for the rest of your educational life. You will be coolER than those guys. Pretty promise. But you need to get the correct state of mind ASAP.

Practically, what I mean is this: when kids say not-nice things to you, instead of getting emotional and worked-up, shrug it off and act really friendly to them. They'll see you don't react, recognise your maturity, and start to accept you. If, god forbid, someone tries to start a fight with you, just act calm and gently make him, and any people that are around, that he's acting unreasonably and that you have the moral high ground. That's not that clear, but hopefully you get the gist of what I'm saying.

And yeah... it's not easy. You'd never think of this stuff by yourself, no kid your age would. But I can, and I hope imparting the knowledge onto you will enable you to use it.

The very best of luck. You're welcome.
