Your friendship wasn't valued by them, they became complacent and were too lazy to make any effort with you. Just because they rejected you doesn't mean that other friends you make will follow suit.

There are real friends out there, you will find them as you sound like a very nice person. So don't let these so-called friends change your views on friendships, good luck.
