i think you should take his advice and put some distance between the two of you. he has a girl friend and he might be thinking that its awkward and everything. give him some time, give him space. you'll need it too to let everything settle. him blushing may not be because he likes you but maybe because hes embarassed by what other people have said. give it time and your friendship should return to normal soon.
