It seems that girl A really does like you. Go with your gut feeling that's usually right! Ask for her number as a start, because even if she just likes you as a friend she wouldn't reject your number! Text her first because she probably won't want to seem clingy. If she seems flirty, and replies quickly, she does care.
You should ask her out in person try and get her alone if you can, without the pressures of friends!
