Mate, just bite the bullet and start talking to one of them. Aim for a friendly looking one, maybe not a punk! ;-) They'll have the same interests as yourself so conversation should be relatively easy. Don't try too hard, just be yourself and be proud of the fact you're unique and not one of those boring carbon copy people who ignore you at school.
