facebook has changed its settings so that its default isn't secure browsing. I had the problem of pop-up ads on my facebook and spam-like ads randomly all over my facebook. Check your browser window. If it starts with "http" or "www" instead of "https" go to Account Settings > Security > Secure browsing. Check the box that enables secure browsing. After I did that, the weird pop-up ads on my facebook disappeared. you should try that regardless because using an unsecure browsing can make your account prone to being hacked.
